Coaching for Small Business is a service specifically designed to support small business owners. My coaching services have a particular focus on business improvement.
Most small business owners decide to build their businesses because they love what they do. They know they are good at it. And they want to build a business that can provide some measure of financial security for their families. Others start their businesses to give them greater control over their working lives.
Does that sound like you?
What many of them find is that although being good at their trade or profession is a necessary ingredient in the success of their business, in most cases it is not enough. Frustration can set in as they spend more and more time working on non-value-added activities like bookkeeping, staff management, or marketing and less and less time on productive activities.
Before they know it they are stuck working long hours constantly putting out fires and never really getting the chance to work out what the business should (or could) look like in the future. If you cannot see past the end of the day, you are in no position to craft strategies that will shape the business in the future.
Strategic management coaching might be just what you need to improve the performance of your small business. It can help you grow and develop as a business owner and an individual.
How?
Business management coaching provides ongoing support and guidance for small business owners. Coaching helps them to clearly define their vision of the business now and in the future. A coach will guide them through a process to plan and implement business improvement activities.
Most coaching sessions use a coaching model to help the client identify and assess any issues they want or need to address. And then work through a process to generate workable solutions. Over time, the coach provides support and attempts to keep the client accountable for any actions they agree to take. The sessions are confidential, your coach will not reveal anything about you to others unless they have your prior consent. So you can talk about pretty much anything!
However, as a potential coaching client it pays to remember that at all times, you (the client) remain fully responsible for your own life. Including any decisions you make. A good coach will offer suggestions and provide feedback on any solutions you discuss. However, any decisions about the appropriate course of action remain with the client.
If you would like more information about how these sessions can help you to take a step back from the day-to-day. You will be able to take a good look at where your business is now and where you want to take it in the future, all you need to do is get in touch.
